Hello!!

Entrepreneurial coach giving a seminar

I’m Meg Young. I knew from a young age that I wanted to “help people” when I grew up. I went through all sorts of career choices and in high school decided I wanted to help people through trauma. It is possible to live a happy, fulfilling life despite what we’ve been through. So I became a Social Worker.

I’ve been dealing with anxiety in one way or another since childhood. I was able to mask it, even from myself sometimes. Although I was thriving, my body was still feeling a great deal of anxiety. Eventually I realized I needed to reboot my own lifestyle. Lifestyle Reboot started percolating in my brain.

Our habits are what we do day after day. Habits aren’t just in our actions but also in our thoughts. Anxiety is part of our survival brain. It is important to maintain. But we don’t need to be giving into it every single time it perceives danger that isn’t there. It’s amazing how resilient our bodies and brains are. We can train ourselves to be anxious and we can train ourselves to influence our anxiety. When we aren’t paying attention to anxiety, it becomes habitual and we may end up with autoimmune diseases, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes because our body has done all it can to “save us” time and time again and has not been able to work peacefully.

I did a lot of my own work on my anxiety over the years. You do not need to spend all that time. Working on anxiety is a process as anxiety is part of our survival brain. Nobody just “stops” being anxious. But there are ways to have the experience take less time. Knowing that it is a process, I take everything I’ve learned about myself, about others I’ve worked with and the tools it takes to influence the anxiety and made a program that will forever change the way you interact with your anxiety.

Habits are hard to change. Just because the brain is anxious and the body may be reacting in turn doesn’t mean it’s easy to change the actions and thoughts we’ve done and had for so long. But it’s not impossible. As I said, the body is resilient. When we start doing right by the body and brain, the body and brain will come back into alignment. You will always have anxiety; it is an emotion just like all others and is important for us, but it will no longer be dominating you.

Are you realizing what your habits have cost you? Are you looking for a lifestyle reboot?

I invite you to schedule a clarity call with me to see what I can do to help you reach your goals. I’m so glad you’re here and are interested in making changes that will bring you a medication-free lifestyle with freedom, happiness, and fun despite having anxiety.

You are human. Nothing is perfect, quick, or super easy.

Throughout my life, I have met so many of my goals. But there are so many other goals that are elusive and frustrating. Like living the lifestyle I want. Between other’s expectations and my beliefs about myself it was hard to live a lifestyle that felt right.

Everyone’s “right” lifestyle is different. But for me, I loved the feeling of being athletic and hadn’t been for so long. It felt bad. I also ate more sugar than I “should have” and my body didn’t thank me for that.

I fell into bad habits and for a long time, my body “seemed” to be ok with this. I loved my career and didn’t worry about the fact that I wasn’t exercising like I used to or eating sugar to motivate me because as much as I loved what I did, it was emotionally draining.

Not to mention my self doubts about myself as a therapist (I teach a lot of the tools I use myself, but there are tools I “know” that I just don’t do myself. I’ve always had anxiety and self doubts don’t help that.

I wanted a more aligned lifestyle. But it just wasn’t happening. Then something happened and I realized the dream isn’t actually that elusive. It’s going to take time and patience, but managing anxiety, living an aligned life and getting rid of self-doubt IS possible!

Often just a few obstacles stand in the way once we know what we want. At the top of the list is our mindset. The “shoulds” we tell ourselves. The doubts we have. The fears of failure.

I had my own struggles growing up. I realized that I had to do my own work on my mindset. Mindset is at the core of everything we do or don’t do. I couldn’t very well teach the stuff that I wasn’t practicing. It works! All the stuff that I teach actually works!

It takes work and patience. One day at a time stacked on top of each other until new habits are formed both in mind and body. It takes us slowing down and not asking the future to be today.

Through consistent action results are not only possible, but probable.

I’d love to work with you.

How cool would it be to wake up each morning truly grateful for all aspects of your life? How cool would it be to feel confident, excited, and in control of your life every day? We are a social breed (humans) and we thrive on the support we give each other.

I would be honored to take your lifestyle change journey with you, support you in your goals, celebrate your successes with you, challenge you as needed, and see you reach your goals!

This is your life. This is your time. Time to learn to become ok with fears of the unknown. Time to change the story you tell yourself about what you can and cannot do. Time to build new habits and find new joy in life.
